Breast Cancer Now: Moving Forward courses

Locally, these courses are held in the Macmillan Centre and at the Maggie’s Centre at Southampton General Hospital.

If you’ve had a breast cancer diagnosis in the last two years, and would like support with moving forward, these courses are for you.

The courses are run by the charity Breast Cancer Now and aim to support people who are adapting to life after treatment.

Look Good Feel Better

These workshops can be accessed from the comfort of your own home by booking a virtual workshop.

Face to face workshops are also available. They last around one and a half to two hours depending on the session you are attending. They are relaxed and friendly and led by trained experts.

Every session offers an opportunity to meet others in a similar situation, ask questions and focus on yourself. The courses aim to provide a positive boost to participants.

HOPE (Help Overcoming Problems Effectively)

The online HOPE programme is a course designed to support people in developing techniques and strategies to manage aspects of living with cancer.

The course runs over a six week period and is based on positive psychology, mindfulness and cognitive behavioural therapy.

You will be expected to commit a minimum of two hours per week, at a time to suit you. You will need to have access to the internet via smartphone, tablet or PC.
