Dr Ruth Walker
Consultant Radiologist & Director of Breast Screening (University Hospital Southampton)
Dr Ruth Walker is a highly experienced Consultant Radiologist with over 20 years of expertise in breast imaging. She completed her medical training at St George’s Hospital Medical School and undertook radiology training in the West Midlands, developing a subspecialty interest in breast imaging early in her career.
Outside of medicine
Away from her clinical work, Dr Walker enjoys a range of creative and sporting pursuits. She is a proficient patchworker and quilter, creating intricate designs that reflect her attention to detail and love of craftsmanship. In addition, she is actively involved in junior cricket coaching, supporting young players to develop their skills and confidence on the field.
